Dan
& Joi LaChaussee
Dan LaChaussee began taking
classes at Pratt Fine Arts Center in 1983 studying under Fritz Dreisbach,
Dante Marioroni, Will Dexter, and Lino Tagliiopietra, an Italian master.
Joi LaChaussee received her Bachelor of
Fine Arts at the University of Colorado in 1983. She continued studying
glassblowing at Pratt Fine Arts where she met Dan, and they have been
studying and working together ever since. They both studied at renowned
Pilchuck.
Lately, the LaChaussee team has enjoyed
playing with color and forms that can only be achieved with the dynamics
of heat, centrifugal force and gravity. They consistently continue to
develop new artworks and are highly esteemed by collectors as well as by
other glass artists. Their work is found in the finest glass collections
in the country.
Joi and Dan have shown internationally in
Germany, Brazil, Australia and Canada. Their work has also been featured
in prestigious exhibitions throughout the United States. |
