He is one of a handful of artist/technicians who formulate and melt all of the glass he uses. Using a technique known as "torch working", Steven literally draws with colored glass rods upon successive layers of clear, crystal glass. This process is a combination of welding, painting, and sculpting molten glass, making each piece a unique spontaneous creation.
